Troubleshooting the AutoCAD/Revit Plugin: Common Errors
This article covers the most common AutoCAD/Revit plugin errors reported to CMap Support and how to resolve them.
"Unable to create temporary directory"
Usually caused by low disk space or a restricted/redirected temp folder on the machine. Check available disk space and confirm with your IT team that the plugin has write access to the system temp directory.
Plugin crashing, publishing very slowly, or erroring under load
- Log out and back in to the plugin to refresh your authentication token.
- If that doesn't help, clear the cached plugin files at %LocalAppData%\Atvero\Atvero for Revit (or the equivalent AutoCAD path) and restart the application.
Retry the publish.
PDF text rendering incorrectly (e.g. showing as italic)
This can occur after certain Revit updates due to font substitution during PDF generation. Check for a CMap plugin update matching your Revit version, and if the issue continues, contact CMap Support with your Revit version and an example file.
If none of the above resolves your issue, contact CMap Support with the exact error message, your AutoCAD/Revit version, and the plugin version installed.
