Revit
Validate without Revit Revisions
Introduction
This guide will show you how to validate a drawing in Revit that doesn't have revisions. Do note that CMap PIM and Atvero may be used interchangeably.
This workflow Validates the parameters in Revit against Metadata in the CMap PIM Project.
Specifically:
• Sheet name and number
• CMap PIM Revision
• Status
• Classification
• Issue status in CMap PIM
Configuring the model
Your model will need to be configured to work with CMap PIM. See the guide below for details.
To integrate with the Revit Revision Schedule follow the Validate with Revisions guide below.
Launching the Revit Add-In
Once installed, an Atvero menu tab will appear in the Revit ribbon. The first task is to log in to your Microsoft 365 account. This will happen if you click either of the Atvero buttons in the ribbon.
Logging-in tells the add-in which projects it can access in CMap PIM, based on Group membership and permissions. If the Tab is missing in the Ribbon follow the Install instructions in the guide below.
Select Sheets
The Revit Add-In will enumerate all of the Sheet views in the Revit model and display them in a table. You can choose which Sheets to Display or Validate in the following ways:
•Filter
•Sheet Sets
•Search
To update the add-in with any changes made to views, click Refresh.
To clear a selection, click 'Clear Filters'. Sheets that are highlighted Blue will Validate and Publish.
Note: If none are highlighted, the process will apply to all Sheet Views in the model. This guide is
to Validate without Revision Schedule integration.
For full Revision integration, tick the 'Atvero Revisions' box and follow the guide below.
Filter and Search
• User the Filters to show only the Sheet Views you need.
• If you have saved Sheet Sets in your models these will display in the drop-down menu.
You can sort by Name, Number, or any other value by clicking on the column headings.
Validate
Clicking on Validate, will check your model against the Project Information Parameter previously set. Follow the 'Configure Model' guide for details.
Validate will perform the following steps to highlighted Sheets:
• Establish if the Sheet Record exists in Atvero already.
• Establish if the Parameters conform with the Project Standard.
• Enumerate current Drawing Title, Revit Revision, CMap PIM Revision, Status and Classification.
• Set the next Atvero Revision based on the numerical sequence.
Note: If no Sheet views are selected, clicking Validate will apply to all sheets in the Model.
The Message column in the Add-In will warn if there are any problems that need to be resolved before Sheets can be published.
