Configure Revit Revisions
Introduction
How to configure Revit revisions to work with your Atvero Project. Please note the terms Atvero and CMap PIM may be used interchangeably in this article.
This task would normally be undertaken by the Project BIM Coordinator or Manager.
Revit Revisions with CMap PIM
The Revit Revision tool and associated scheduling functionality are extremely useful for tracking changes and updates to Sheet views in Revit models. Unfortunately, prior to Revit 2022, it also has limitations when applying ISO 19650 standard Revisions on Projects.
This article describes the approach taken by CMap PIM to reconcile Revit Revisions with variable 'P' and 'C' prefixes through the Project lifecycle.
This functionality in the Add-in is optional and enabled by selecting Atvero Revisions checkbox in the interface.
The method adopted pre-pends the 'Revision Number' to the Revision Description field in Revit.
Required resources
Firstly, you need to download:
•TBL-ATV-AtveroA1Landscape_20XX
•T_Atvero Revision Cloud_20XX
from the Atvero Downloads page > Atvero Revit Supplemental Files > Download the Revit Supplemental Files here.
Title Block
The supplied Title Block Family has an embedded Revit Revision Schedule configured to show the Date and associated Issue Description.
The Revision Schedule can be amended to suit your corporate BIM standards but will always require the Revision Description to display the Atvero Revision.
Configure Revit Revisions
Go to the View tab in Revit and Select Revisions. The following steps can be applied:
1. Add a Revision (if there is none).
2. Set Revit Revisions to be "Per Sheet".
3. Ensure that Numbering is set to "Numeric".
4. Provide a Description and make sure that "Issued" is Unchecked.
5. Set Show to "Cloud and Tag" (if this is desired).
6. Set Numeric and Numbering Options to start with 1.
Finish
Once the title-block is configured you can Validate your sheets and Publish to CMap PIM. If you wish to configure the sheets validation, please click the following links.
