Can Two Projects Have the Same External Project Code?
Yes. Currently, there is no built-in rule that prevents multiple projects from using the same External Project Code. Only the Internal Billing Code must be unique.
What this means
If your organisation uses External Project Codes for reporting, integrations, or other downstream systems, you will need to check for duplicates manually when creating new projects.
CMap PIM will not warn you if an External Project Code has already been used on another project, so duplicate codes can be assigned.
