What is the difference between Ready, Transmitted and Pending?
The status of a transmittal depends on whether further action is required, whether it has already been sent to the client, or whether it has only been created.
Ready
A transmittal will show as Ready when you are required to send it to the recipients manually.
The issue methods listed below will remain in the Ready status so you can easily distinguish between transmittals that have been sent directly to the client and those that need to be sent by you. The ready status won't be removed from this transmittal one it has been sent to the client, it will stay as Ready.
You may see this status when issuing via:
- Zip file
- Copied SharePoint Link
- Copied CheckPoint Link
This means the transmittal has been prepared, but there is still an action required from your side.
Transmitted
A transmittal will show as Transmitted when it has been sent directly to the client and no further action is needed.
You may see this status when issuing via:
- Email as attached files
- Email as SharePoint link
- Email as CheckPoint link
Pending
A transmittal will show as Pending when the user has selected Create only, rather than Create and Transmit.
This means the transmittal has been created, but it has not yet been transmitted or issued to the client.
Please note, if a transmittal has been Transmitted, the method cannot be changed, so you wouldn't be able to change the transmittal from ready to transmitted.
