Setting up Transmittal Document Templates

Introduction

How to create transmittal document templates in CMap PIM.

Hubsite Homepage

In the hubsite, click the Settings cog in the top right hand corner.

Site Contents

From the Settings panel, click Site Contents.

Template Library

In Site Contents, scroll to Template Library.

Drag and Drop

Drag and drop your template file into the Library.

Document Types

 

Once saved, you will need to add the document to the Document Types so it will appear as an option when creating a drawing from a template in PIM.

To do this, navigate back to Site Contents and click Document Types in the list.

Add New Item

Click + Add new item button to open the New Item panel.

Provide Information

In the panel provide the following information:

ATVDocClass should be set to WIP for this type of template.

Title - a descriptive name of the template 
QuickPartTitle - a list of all the quick parts used in the template which will require user input. If the value can be auto populated using Project Information e.g. Project Code, then it does not need to be included the list.
ShortCode - the short code that will appear in the Office document document number.
Template URL - the full template name e.g. name.dwg..
ATVGroupGuid - the ATVGroupGuid of the Document Group the Document Type will belong to. Navigate to the Document Group list from Site Contents to find this value.

DocumentGroupLookup - the ID of the Document Group the Document Type will belong to. 
Navigate to the Document Group list from Site Contents to find this values.

ATVDocClass - the key that differentiates Drawing templates from Document templates. This should be set to "WIP" for this type of template.

Once you are ready click Save. Your custom Drawing will now appear as a Template option when creating a Drawing for co-working in an PIM project Library.
