Revision Ordering in CMap PIM
Introduction
Being able to search and locate relevant records and revisions is key when using CMap PIM. Once uploaded to the Records area, each revision of a document or drawing will be stored against a record (which acts, and is used in a similar way, as a folder). Therefore, when you are trying to locate a specific revision, you'll know to go to the specific record first.
How are revisions ordered within records?
Revisions are ordered by THE DATE they were uploaded to CMap PIM, not by revision number. When a record is clicked into, you will see the newest upload at the top and the oldest upload at the bottom.
For example, if you or another team member uploads a revision 3 BEFORE a revision 2 to CMap PIM, you will still see '02' displayed in the 'Revision' column in the Records area. However, when you click into the record to see the full revision history, you will see there is also a 03 revision.
Why is this?
Unfortunately, this is a feature of Microsoft SharePoint and something that we are unable to change at this point in time.
