Creating a new Hubsite Contact
Contacts are an essential element of CMap PIM as they serve as a record of who worked with you on certain projects. They also store key information elements such as which contact information, company information and the association they have to the project.
On your CMap PIM Hubsite, there's a tab called 'Contacts' where you can set up and add new contacts.
Before you get started, there are a few things to be aware of:
- Contacts are uniquely identified using their email address, so no two contacts can have the same email address.
- Contacts cannot change company once they have been created. If a contact moves company, they must be added like a new contact
About Contacts
All Contacts live in the hubsite.
When you create a contact you will also need to provide the contact's company and branch address.
Contacts are uniquely identified using their email address.
Contacts cannot change company once they have been created.
When an existing contact moves companies, you will need to make a contact for them.
Superseded contacts will appear struck through in the hub site and will not appear when searching for a contact elsewhere.
