Create a New Project Contact
Once you've created a new project on CMap PIM, one of the first steps we recommend is setting up your project contacts list. Having an up-to-date and well-maintained contact list can be beneficial in terms of cutting down time spent on manual tasks during critical periods, like when preparing an issue or month-end, and providing you and your team with an accurate record of those involved with the project.
If you want to make your contacts stand out you can mark them as a Key Contact. This will add a person icon ribbon next to their name to signal that they are important and significant to the project.
How to set up a new project contact
- Go to the project site.
- Click on the 'Contacts' tab on the left-hand sidebar menu.
- Click on 'Add Contact'.
- If you contact already exists on the Hubsite contacts page, you can search and select them from the dropdown field. We would recommend filling out the 'Project Role' field for record keeping purposes. Once you've filled out the relevant information, click on 'Add'
- If your contact doesn't exist on the Hubsite, start typing in their name and then click on 'Create New Contact' and complete the required information (we recommend filling out as many fields as possible).
- If you want to make contact a key contact, tick the 'Key Contact' field.
- Once complete, click on 'Create'.
- The contact will now appear as a project contact.
Once the contact has been made at the project level, it will automatically be added to the Hubsite contacts list.
