Uploading Non-Compliant Internal Files

This feature allows users to bypass the file name and naming scheme restrictions when uploading internal files. NOTE: This feature is NOT enabled by default. If you would like it enabled, please raise a ticket with the CMap PIM Support team for a further consultation. 

If you decide to move forward with this feature, CMap PIM cannot ensure internal files will comply with the naming convention set on the project. 

Unrestricted Uploads

1. Go to the Records page of your project by clicking on the 'Records' tab.

2. Click on the 'Upload' button, then select 'Files from Us'.

3. Drag and drop the files into the Upload panel or use the 'Browse' button to open your File Explorer. The Uploader will show you warnings indicating that your file is not compliant, but you will not be blocked from completing the upload.

4. Once you added all the files you want to upload, click on the 'Upload' button. When you first click this button, a warning regarding the non-compliance of the files will show at the button of the panel. However, you will see an 'Upload Anyway' button. Click on this to upload the files. 

Some file names still cannot be uploaded, for example if they include certain prohibited special characters.

View Record

5. When the upload is complete, click 'Dismiss' to close the panel, your newly uploaded file will show in the Records area. Non-compliant files in the Records area will be indicated with a warning icon. Similarly, CMap PIM will display other warnings that will show when you use the file within a Transmittal.

You have now successfully uploaded non-complaint internal files into CMap PIM!
