How Square-Bracket Project Numbers Auto-file Emails (and Why Replies Still Require Confirmation
Including a project number in square brackets within an email subject (for example, [12345]) helps CMap Mail identify the correct project and file the email automatically. However, the behaviour differs slightly between the first email in a thread and replies.
First email in a thread
When you send an email with a Bracketed project number in the subject for the first time, CMap Mail will prompt you to confirm the project you want the email to be filed into. Once this initial confirmation has been completed, any future emails containing the same project number in square brackets will be filed automatically.
Replies
If a project number in square brackets is detected within an existing email thread, CMap Mail will continue to prompt you to confirm the project before allowing you to file and send the email.
