Can I Run CMap Mail Alongside Another Email Filing Add-in?
Running CMap Mail at the same time as another email filing or document management Outlook add-in (e.g. a legacy DM tool) is not recommended, as it can result in filed or replied emails being processed by the wrong add-in.
Why this happens
Multiple filing add-ins can compete to intercept the same email actions, such as sending, replying or filing emails. Depending on how the add-ins are loaded by Outlook, an email intended for CMap Mail may instead by captured and processed by the other add-in.
Recommended solution
To avoid unexpected behaviour, it is recommended that any alternative email filing add-ins are disabled or fully retired for users who are using CMap Mail, rather than running both simultaneously.
