Adding a Microsoft Team to your CMap PIM Project

As SharePoint is part of the wider Microsoft 365 ecosystem, you'll find that there are opportunities to link different Microsoft applications together, such as adding a Microsoft team to each of your CMap PIM projects.

By adding a Microsoft Team to your project, it will create a new Team site with the same project code and name as your project on CMap PIM. Project members can then go ahead and establish new Teams channels to post updates and manage internal project comms.

Your CMap PIM project will also be accessible from this Team site, so you can view and upload documentation and drawings via the Teams interface. 

How to add a Microsoft Team to your project 

1. Go to the project you want to set up a Microsoft Team for on CMap PIM.
2. Scroll down until you see the Microsoft Teams pop-out window on the project's sidebar menu. If the pop-up window is not appearing you can link to the site from Teams instead.
3. Once the panel opens, click on 'Continue' in the bottom right-hand corner.
4. When the 'Pin resources as tabs in Teams' panel, select the tiles called 'Documents' and 'Home', then click on 'Add Teams'.
5. Open Microsoft Teams - either the desktop or web version.
6. You should now see your CMap PIM project appear with Microsoft Teams along the left sidebar menu.
7. Click on the project within Teams then click on 'General' to start posting to the new channel! 

Once you've added a Team to your CMap PIM project, you can also configure your new Team tabs to display the CMap PIM project within Teams. 

How to add the CMap PIM tab to your Team

1. In the 'General' channel of your Team, click on the '+' button in the top bar. When you hover over it, it should say 'Add a tab'.
2. Find 'Atvero' from the available tabs to add to your Team. You may need to use the search bar. 
3. Once you've located it, select it and then click on 'Save' in the pop-up. 

You can also access the Team site by clicking on the 'Teams' tab within your CMap PIM project sites. This will link you directly to Teams.
