Adding project members to a project

Adding project members to a project

When setting up your projects on CMap PIM, you may need to add new members so that they can access the project site and the information within in.

When someone is added to a project, they will receive an email from Microsoft that indicates they now have access to the site.

How you add users to a project will depend on whether you are using public or private projects. If you are using private projects, project owners will need to add project members individually. If you are using public projects, project members can add themselves to the project.

How to add project members or add yourself to a project

  1. Find the relevant project from the 'Projects' tab
  2. In the top right-hand corner, you will see the Members icon, click on this
  3. To add more project members, click on the 'Add members' button and search for their or your name
  4. Select them or your profile from the dropdown options and then click on 'Save'

You can add multiple users at this point my searching for multiple users before clicking Save

Project Owners

If you need to add additional project owners, repeat the above steps. Before you save the changes, click on the down arrow next to the word 'Member' and select 'Owner' instead.

You will need to be an existing project owner of the project in order to add additional project owners. Also, you can't add yourself as a project owner when using public projects - an existing project owner will need to uplift your permissions on your behalf.
