Getting Started
Adding or Removing Additional Users to Microsoft Security Groups After CMap Mail Install
Introduction
Use this guide if you want to know how to add or remove users from the CMap Mail Admin, CMap Mail All Users & CMap Mail Confidential Users Security Groups after you've installed CMap Mail.
This may need to be actioned by a Microsoft 365 Global Admin.
Why might you need this?
You may want to add or remove users to the Microsoft Security Groups that were set up as part of the CMap Mail install. This may be because of role changes or the employee leaving the organisation.
Resolution
- Go to the Microsoft 365 Admin Centre.
- Click on 'Teams & Groups'.
- Click on 'Active Teams & Groups'.
- Click on the 'Security Group' tab.
- Find the relevant Security Group (CMap Mail Admins; CMap Mail All Users; CMap Mail Confidential Users) and click on it.
- In the pop-out panel, click on the 'Members' tab.
- Under 'Members', click on 'View all and manage members'.
- From here you can see the current list of members. Add additional users by clicking on the '+ Add members' button, or remove existing members by clicking on the tick box next to their name, then clicking on the 3 dots then selecting 'Remove Members'.
