Downloading Email Attachments from CMap Mail Discovery
If a file attached to an email downloads as an extensionless file and won't open, try downloading it through the CMap Mail Discovery attachments panel rather than directly from the email preview.
Steps
- Open CMap Mail Discovery and locate the email in question.
- Open the email and find the Attachments panel (rather than any inline preview).
- Download the attachment from this panel.
Confirm the downloaded file has the correct extension (e.g. .pdf) before opening it.
If the file still has no extension
If the file still downloads without an extension, manually add the correct extension based on the file type shown in Discovery (e.g. rename download to download.pdf).
