Email Import from File Explorer Prep Checklist

Here is your preparing for your import checklist to follow. Make sure you have checked or completed all items before starting the import.

Completed? 

Import Tool

Do you have the password needed to access the import tool? (The website that hosts the import tool is password protected. Your CMap Mail Consultant will give you this password)

 

Microsoft 365 Global Admin 

Has the import consent been approved by your Microsoft 365 Admin? If you are unsure, contact your CMap Mail Consultant. 

 

Email Formats 

Are your emails in .MSG or .EML file formats? If not, the importer won't be able to bring these across.

 

Integrated Platforms 

Are CMap Mail & PSA linked via our integration?

 

User Access

Is the person managing the import a CMap Mail Admin?

 

Windows Machine

Do you have a Windows machine to run the import? (The import tool is not compatible with Mac machines)

 

Enabled Projects (CMap PSA ONLY)

If you currently using CMap PSA, have you enabled the mail projects in CMap Mail Admin before starting your import?
